SRAC Kois Talukdar Skills Development and Technical College (SKSDTC)

Is a forward-looking technical and vocational education institution established 2015, under the initiative of Society for Sylhet Resources Advancement Community (SRAC) to address the growing demand for skilled human resources and promote inclusive socio-economic development in Bangladesh. The institution was founded with the vision of empowering youth, women, and disadvantaged communities through quality technical education, market-oriented skills training, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Bangladesh is undergoing rapid economic transformation, creating increasing demand for a competent workforce capable of contributing to national development and competing in the global labor market. Despite this progress, many young people, particularly those from rural and marginalized communities, continue to face barriers in accessing quality technical education, employable skills, and decent employment opportunities. Recognizing these challenges, SRAC established the college as a center of excellence for skills development, innovation, and workforce readiness.

The college delivers competency-based education and practical skills training designed to meet current and emerging labor market needs. Its programs focus on technical and vocational disciplines, information and communication technology (ICT), entrepreneurship development, business and financial literacy, caregiving and health-related services, hospitality, agro-based enterprises, women-friendly livelihood initiatives, and other demand-driven sectors. Through a combination of classroom learning, practical workshops, industry exposure, and career guidance services, the institution equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to secure employment, pursue self-employment, or continue higher education.

Guided by the principles of inclusiveness, gender equality, innovation, and social justice, the college actively promotes equal access to education and training for women, youth, persons with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged groups. Special attention is given to empowering vulnerable populations through targeted skills development interventions, entrepreneurship support, and livelihood enhancement opportunities.

SRAC Kois Talukdar Skill Development and Technical College adopts a partnership-based approach, working closely with government agencies, private sector employers, development partners, training institutions, and community stakeholders. These collaborations help ensure that training curricula remain relevant, industry-responsive, and aligned with national and international competency standards. The college also emphasizes soft skills development, leadership, digital literacy, environmental responsibility, and workplace ethics to prepare learners for the evolving demands of the modern workforce.

In addition to technical education, the institution contributes to broader community development by promoting youth engagement, economic resilience, climate-conscious practices, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. By fostering a culture of innovation, professionalism, and continuous learning, the college supports Bangladesh’s national development priorities and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to quality education, gender equality, decent work, poverty reduction, and economic growth.

Through its commitment to excellence, inclusiveness, and community transformation, SRAC Kois Talukdar Skill Development and Technical College aspires to become a leading institution for technical and vocational education in Bangladesh, creating pathways for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development while enabling individuals to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
